The pains of the past, ruminating thoughts, worries about someone being mad at you no matter how hard you try to make everyone happy...

it's all become too much to hold on your own.

You found yourself here because you...

  • are the one others come to for support, but no one is checking in on you

  • recognize that old relationships are interfering with identifying and engaging in healthy relationships today

  • wish your family understood and supported you the way you need them to

  • feel like something is wrong with you, but also think you're a good person, which is confusing

  • are tired of people-pleasing and trying to be perfect all the time but never feeling like it’s enough

  • are ready to make the changes needed to feel calm, confident, and content

How I work

I'm not a very therapist-y therapist

I am able to sit with people in their pain and struggle in part due to my training and practice, but also due to my own lived experience.

I grew up with a single mother who was diagnosed with a debilitating chronic illness when I was 8 and moved into a nursing home when I was 20. Though I had a supportive extended family and friends, no one ever really knew what it felt like to be me. It was a long, but worthwhile road to move from feeling "less than" others and trying to people-please my way to approval to eventually reaching a place of internal calm and self-acceptance.

Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. I want to hear all of the thoughts, questions, confusions going on in your head so we can get to the root of what brought you to therapy and begin the repair process together. My own life story, and what nearly two decades of training and practice have taught me, show up in every session I hold. I've guided clients from being stuck in their feelings of anguish and doubt, to relishing in experiences of joy and triumph. The transformations I am privileged to witness continue to give me goosebumps. I know yours will too.
